Gua Sha Facial Fusion
I’m so excited to bring this next-level facial therapy to Cornwall!
Gua Sha Facial Fusion is a facial rejuvenation therapy based on the traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Combined with connective tissue facial massage, it gives immediate noticeable results in the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles, dark circles, puffy eyes and sagging skin.
If you are looking for a natural, non-invasive and effective pro-aging treatment with a whole host of benefits for your skin health and nervous system, this is the perfect treatment for you.
What does a Gua Sha Facial Fusion Treatment involve?
After completing a thorough consultation where we can discuss any particular skin concerns, you will be invited to make yourself comfortable on my heated couch.
We begin with a relaxing deep cleansing ritual and gentle exfoliation. Any tension starts to melt away as I roll and press a steamed Thai Herbal Poultice over tired and tight muscles such as the neck, shoulders and jaw. Specialist massage techniques are used to clear and drain any stagnation that may be causing puffiness.
The organic blend of warm botanical herbs in the poultice gently nourishes and soothes the skin and is great for skin conditioning, especially around the delicate eye area. It contains a high percentage of Vitamin C, helps fight against skin eruption while soothing irritated and aging skin.
I use advanced massage techniques to detoxify, relieve sinuses and lift, sculpt and contour while pressure on specific Sen Points help to release blocked energy and direct healing where needed.
Next, I apply an organic balm to the skin to prepare for the Gua Sha element of the treatment. I am experienced in using a range of professional Gua Sha tools to enable me to adapt my treatment for each client. Each different tool has been specifically designed by my tutor Cecily Braden to fit the different contours of the face. Textured rollers, a Jade Nephrite tool, Mookaite or Rose Quartz Spoons, Bloodstone or Quartz crystal Mushrooms can be selected, depending on the areas you would like me to focus on. I use these tools to further release tension from the neck, chest and shoulders while you continue to drift on a wave of relaxation before moving onto each area of the face.
As I drain, contour, lift, sculpt and smooth away lines, I will also work over acupressure points which can influence your emotional and physical health as well as your appearance. Through clearing pathways and venting the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) channels we can encourage the flow of qi or the life force that radiates from you.
Following the Gua Sha, I will apply a raw face mask to your skin and complete the massage over your scalp using a combination of my hands and a jade comb. You will then be given a few minutes in complete rest with the option of enjoying the therapeutic benefits of an amethyst eye mask.
Once the mask is removed, we draw the treatment to a close with a slow and mindful Thai Wai Aromatherapy massage. I follow the Sen Meridians with specific effleurage strokes to increase and direct the flow of energy, fluids and lymph and nourish the skin.
To finish, I will apply an hydrating facial serum and oil.
